Hi, I’m Dan Lavoie.
For two decades, I've been fighting for justice and equity on all sides of politics, policy, government, and media. I am a passionate communications strategist with a proven track record of crafting narratives and delivering results for lasting, sustainable change.
What I Fight For
Social Justice
As Chief Speechwriter and Senior Advisor for the New York Attorney General’s Office, I fought for the rights of all New Yorkers — from protecting immigrants’ rights to holding the Big Banks accountable to launching the nation’s first independent office dedicated to prosecuting cases in which police kill unarmed civilians.
Economic Justice
As Director of Communications at City Harvest — the nation’s first and largest food rescue organization — I worked throughout the COVID-19 pandemic raising awareness of the hunger crisis and working to deliver more than 300 million pounds of food to New Yorkers in need.
Racial Justice
As Senior Comms Director at Earthjustice and Deputy Comms Director at the racial justice advocacy organization PolicyLink, I have fought for equity and against structural racism — foundational values that are the core of all of my work.
